In my presentation I will  talking about the variety of styles, conventions and techniques in artist's music videos.
 There are different types of conventions and techniques of music videos. This is to produce different styles of music videos so that they can attract to the audience.


Side 1: Animation
How the music video is CGI 2D Animation as the Coldplay band are turned to apes as this makes the audience which makes us want to watch the music video. In addition this music video is created through the use of computer graphics, the music video uses the convention allusion refers to the band being apes creating a unique allusion to the music video.
The song is about Coldplay singing in the jungle

 The music video uses  the technique Multi- image technique is shot in a jungle.  This is due to technological advances in camera equipment.  

Animation-gives life, turn gives movement, the production of 'moving pictures'; the technique by which movement is given. 

Camera Movements 
Bird- Eye- View it shows the band moving in different directors from above and allows the audience to see the movements, of the trees and parts of the landscape uses a 
The music video uses cutting  independent pictures and puts them together to form the illusion of continuous motion shots and cutting together to make the video.

Narrative- is the term for story telling.  Narrative is the way the different elements in a story are organised to make a meaningful story. 

Step 2: In the second video I will be talking about the Pompeii Bastille Music Video the style is narrative for having a plot to the music video. In addition, the music video is Indie and rock as they are dark colours, as the lead singer running from infected people his close up showing he is the only one with salty left and no one does. Furthermore, the techniques are camera angles as the sorta of the video is standing on top of the wall where look tiny compared to the building he's showing his vulnerability, then goes close up to his face showing the recognition of the band. In addition, many shots were shown to show the location of the scene which is dark and empty.

Illustrative is  a decoration, interpretation or visual explanation of a text, concept or process, designed for integration in published media, such as posters, flyers, magazines, books, teaching materials, animations, video games and films.

Step 3: Illustrative- Taylor Swift- You belong with Me Techniques

The music video You Belong With Me establishes the setting of the video with the shots of two houses side by side reveals two windows. The techniques it uses are miming to lip sync as Taylor swift as lip singing. In addition, the song You Belong with me suggests how Taylors characters loves her best friend who is her neighbour and wants to be with him.
